23: Travis Rueckert - Using art to help people get through tough times
Monday Nov 22, 2021
Monday Nov 22, 2021
Sometimes it feels like we only get to hear the stories of those who have already found success. Though those conversations are fun, and we get to learn a lot from them, sometimes I can’t relate because I’m not there yet myself. I want to hear from someone who hasn’t made it yet but is working the grind and finding themselves along the way.
Travis Rueckert is an everyday family man from the midwest. He works a job, has a lovely wife and child, loves his dog, pretty much like the rest of us. Also like many of us, Travis wants to do something he is passionate about, so in his spare time, he is building an art business.
Travis graduated with an art degree from Elmhurst College where he discovered a love for oil paintings. He has been featured in art galleries, hospitals, and businesses across the country. His most famous piece, titled “Love Wins”, won a competition and was featured on a billboard in downtown Manhattan.
During Covid, Travis fell into a slump. He came to the conclusion that he was burned out on painting with oils and he wanted to do something that moved people emotionally. Travis started doing mixed media artworks where he uses uncommon materials to create his pieces. Once a week during his “Friday Fun” you can find Travis on his Instagram channel where he explores new creative ideas and mediums.
It was great to hear from someone who is working the process, growing as an individual, and finding success. Enjoy this episode with Travis Ruekert

Dalia Lourenço has more than a decade of professional experience in over 22 international roles across 8 countries working with the UN and other international organizations.
While working for the UN, Dalia noticed a pattern, she hadn’t applied for a job in several years, yet she was getting great job offers. But why? What was she doing different?
She realized she was a sought-after authority in her field. So much so, she was getting offers for positions that never made it a job posting board (Dalia calls this the hidden job market).
Dalia wondered, surely this isn’t something only I am capable of, is this process repeatable? The answer was a resounding, yes.
Today, Dalia runs Accelerate Your Ambitions where she is helping professionals who are successful but unfulfilled and passionless, find highly paid work that they actually love.
She started her business because she was sick and tired of people breaking their backs to be successful on paper and still feeling directionless. She wants people to know that it is possible to have money, freedom, and enjoyment in your work.
Dalia has helped professionals go from struggling to find their purpose, to getting their dream job, in as little as 8 weeks.
She truly believes that if every professional worked on the causes they really passionate about , our planet would be a completely different - happier, safer, more impactful - place to live.
In this episode Dalia shares her experience:
- Find your sense of deserving
- Become a recognized authority in your field
- Access the hidden job market
- Create a personal brand that gets noticed

Against seemingly impossible odds, Sean Conley went from being a no-name kicker at a Division III school, to starting for the University of Pittsburgh, and ultimately having a shot at his dream of playing in the NFL, not once but three times.
After graduation, Sean began a dramatic, abbreviated career in professional football, playing for the Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and finally for the Scottish Claymores in NFL Europe . That journey came with a price. As a result of overtraining, Sean suffered career-ending injuries, and found himself without direction and a job .
However, his story didn’t end there, as part of his rehabilitation and regrouping, Sean became a dedicated yoga practitioner at the suggestion of his wife. He eventually embraced the mindfulness, meditation, and philosophy of yoga as a new life direction, and became a yoga teacher himself. He and his wife now own Amazing Yoga in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Sean is the author of two books.

Today’s guest found her calling at the age of 9. You heard that right 9 years old.
Toni Breidinger found her taste for speed when her father took her and twin sister Annie to Sonoma Raceway to race go-karts.
From that moment on Toni hasn't looked back. Today, she's the all-time winningest female in United States Auto Club (USAC) history with 19 victories, a record that helped her get noticed and make the move into NASCAR's ARCA Menard Series.
When asked about being the all-time winningest female Toni recognizes it’s a great accomplishment but it’s not the goal. The real goal, to become the all-time winningest driver. Ever. And she is well on her way.
In February of this year, Toni made history as NASCAR's first Arab-American female driver, when she raced in the ARCA Menard Series at the Daytona International Speedway, finishing in 18th place. If that’s not enough for you, she also dabbles in modeling, which is something else she determined she was going to do as a kid, when in her diary she wrote not only that she wanted to be a model, but what agency she wanted to work for. Fast forward 10 years later, and she is modeling for that exact agency. Crazy.
Though all this is great, the most impressive part about Toni is her impact on the sport. She is single-handedly making racing accessible to new demographics all over the world. Her influence can be seen in young girls that are inspired and motivated to follow in the superstar's footsteps.
Breaking barriers, blazing trails, and bringing NASCAR into a new generation, this is Toni Breidinger.
In this episode Toni shares with us the importance of:
- Choosing a team that can help you achieve your goals
- Staying focused when bombarded with distractions
- Immersing yourself into your dreams
- Getting back on track after you have had a “big crash”
- Writing down your goals.

18: Chili Chullino - My business failed, and it was massively successful.
Monday Sep 13, 2021
Monday Sep 13, 2021
Do you ever dream of walking out of your job and starting your own business? The idea is intriguing, but for most of us the notion is followed by doubt in the form of “what if?”. What if I’m not good enough, what if no one buys my product, what if I fail?
Today’s guest did just that. Chili Chullino left a secure job with a growing company to start his own venture, to chase a passion he didn’t even realize he had…and it failed.
Chili has always had the spirit of an entrepreneur, but he never really understood how to leverage it. For years he worked for other companies, helping them develop marketing strategies, forecast growth, and move into new markets. He was clearly capable of growing and operating a business, but he always found himself doing it for someone else. Building someone else’s dream.
Part of that was because Chili wasn’t clear on his path, on his dream. He knew he loved business and knew he wanted to build his own venture, but in what industry? Providing what service or product?
That is until Chili realized his love for craftsmanship. In a moment, Chili’s life was on a new trajectory. He was going to build things with his hands. He left his secure job, and founded Orewood Solutions.
Exciting, right? Taking the leap, trusting your own skills and pouring yourself into something you love. That is until the pandemic hit, clients lost jobs, materials costs went through the roof, and Chili had to close the doors on Orewood Solutions.
So how do you rise from the ashes? How do you take a failure, refocus your mindset, and turn it into a success story?
In this episode Chili Chullino explores.
- The importance of creating a community to support your passion.
- How to pursue something you have never done before.
- How a single event can act as a catalyst, and provide clarity and connect the dots to show you your true path.
- How can you create that catalyst intentionally through new experiences.
- And how success and failures are not outcomes, they are events and blips on your timeline.
